Text

Dear “Governor”

Thank you heartily for yours of the 28th, enclosing Mr. Edison's telegram. I have taken the liberty of replying to it as per the enclosed copy. I am getting wonderful responses from all parts of the country of a character similar to Mr. Edison's. I enclose a copy of a telegram from your old friend, Mr. Endicott, of the Endicott Johnson Company, which I know you will be pleased to see.

Affectionately yours,
WG McAdoo

The President,
The White House.
