Text

Dear Governor

I am enclosing an extract or two from a letter which comes from Hapgood today.
-------------------
I am also enclosing excerpts from Carl Ackerman's forthcoming book which he has in mind to call “Mr. Wilson and German Diplomacy”. I have kept in touch with Ackerman in the writing of this book because it is a great justification of your German policy. I shall make an effort to have it circulated among Germans by loyal German-Americans with whom I am in touch. Ackerman wishes to write a final chapter but desires to talk it over with you before he does so.
-------------------
Roland Morris took lunch with me yesterday. I share your good opinion of him.

Affectionately yours,
E. M. House
115 East 53rd Street, New York.
