Text

Dear Mr. President

The Ways and Means Committee of the House will meet this afternoon to consider the bond bill. Mr. Kitchin has returned and I think it very important that you should write him a letter this morning, urging the importance of the prompt passage of this measure. I enclose copy of a brief statement I gave out to the press last night, which may be of service to you in this connection. I hope you will communicate with Mr. Kitchin immediately.

Cordially yours,

WG McAdoo

The President,
The White House.
