At last we have seen the movie pictures, and we have greatly enjoyed them. Mother and Bertha, and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Bolling, enjoyed them with us, and we were all without exception fascinated by Mary Faith. There is a wonderful charm about the child. The glimpses the pictures gave of the house were most interesting and enable us to realize its beauty and its attractive home quality. Everything about it looks charming, and the little family group on the front steps was one of the most interesting features of the picture. I was glad to have a glimpse of Mrs. W. G. Jr., but wish that it might have been more than a glimpse so that I might really know what she looks like. The chief impression one gets from the groups is that of a very congenial, happy family. It is truly delightful to have such a visual record of you all. We had Robin Hood the same night, but the lasting impression on my mind was made not by that but by the McAdoo film. We are grateful to you for having sent it to us, but shall not be entirely content until we can come out and look at you all without the aid of a camera.Edith unites with me in warmest love to you all, and in thanking you for the delightful glimpse (all too short) we had of you and Mac. When you come a long way to make a visit it ought to be a long visit, not a short one.
Please all of you keep well so that we may continue to have happy thoughts about you.
With a heart full of every affectionate wish,
Father
