Text

My dear Mr. Long:

My attention has just been called to the extraordinary fact that all four of your sons have joined the Army and you yourself have joined the Home Guards. I want to send you at least this brief line to express my admiration. It is very delightful to see such evidences of patriotism and devotion to public duty.

Cordially and sincerely yours,
Woodrow Wilson
