Text

My dear Mr. Minister

I warmly appreciate your generosity in sending me a copy of the medal struck in your honor and the very interesting portrait. I shall value them both as reminding me constantly of a friend whom I greatly value and admire. What you say about myself and the work we are all engaged in together makes me very proud and very grateful.
Things are thickening so about you in Belgium that it may not be very long before I see you again, but whether I see you or not, you will, I am sure, realize my warm friendship and the high value I place upon your own.

Cordially and sincerely yours,
Woodrow Wilson
