Text

My precious Girlie

Here is a note which explains itself. The lad is trying at last, apparently very earnestly, to make his way in business, and I am glad to assist to give him any legitimate chance he trys for. I do not know or guess what you and Frank will wish to do about insuring the presents, but send this at a venture.
This accompanies a real letter, which should reach you at the same time.

Lovingly,
Father
